Fort Milford

Fort Milford is a popular attraction within walking distance of the Tropikist Beach Hotel (only 1.6 km away)
Built by the British in the 18th century, Fort Milford served as a guard post for the British army until Tobago fell to the French in 1781.

It was rebuilt by the British in the early 19th century, but today six cannons are the only evidence that Fort Milford once helped to fortify the island.

With its manicured gardens and strategic vantage point, it is now the ideal destination for those seeking seclusion, spectacular sea views and breathtaking sunsets.
