Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
It is one of the largest mosque in the world and officially opened in the month of Ramadan (Sept/Oct) 2007.
Very impressive are the seven chandeliers that are imported from Germany - made of gold-plated brass and stainless steel and decorated with thousands of different colored Swarovski crystals in the shape of flowers. The largest of the chandeliers was built by a company from Munich with a diameter of ten metres and a height of 15 metres and is considered the largest chandelier in the world.
Louvre Abu Dhabi
This is an art museum and the name is derived from the Louvre in Paris, with which there is close co-operation.
French architect Jean Novel designed a new building for the museum and on the inauguration on 8 November 2017 by Khalifa bin Zaid Al Nahyan the French President Emanuel Macron attended - the official opening took place on 11 November 2017.
Qasr Al Watan Palace
This is the presidential palace of the United Arab Emirates and the construction of the palace was completed in 2017.
To celebrate the heritage of the country the decision was made to open the palace to the public in 2019.
In 2020 the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace was nominated for the World Travel Awards as the main cultural tourist attraction in the Middle East.
